Shopping at the center of Madrid
J. L. Gamallo. Madrid is not only a top tourist destination with museums and monuments of great historical and artistic importance, but also has a great attraction for shoppers, whether in department stores, malls or stores. Very near the Hostal Horizonte extends the great commercial center of Madrid, whose main axes are Carretas street, Price, Carmen and Arenal. These streets are numerous shops in clothing, accessories or shoes that will delight men and women. At the entrance to the street price is the oldest seat of Spanish commerce giant, El Corte Inglés, with sections of all things imaginable.
In the Plaza del Callao has another building whose top floor has a gourmet center. Fuencarral Street, recently pedestrianization many shops, preferably aimed at younger audiences. In the next street shops Almirante and Barquillo and cutting edge designers. In the district of Salamanca, in what is called the Milla de Oro (Golden Mile, streets of Serrano, Goya, Ortega y Gasset), concentrate more luxury shops and internationally renowned firms. If you have time and monetize purchases most famous firms, it is a visit to Las Rozas Village a great outlet about 25 km north of Madrid, on the road of La Coruña. The place is a paradise for shoppers, it looks like a small town. Each of the houses is a store, usually a large firm, which is now selling its products in other seasons at deep discounts. We also have bars and cafes to take a break from shopping. Next door is the Factory Outlet with more asequitbles price shops. Another interesting is the Naussica Factory, in the nearby town of Getafe.
