J. L. Gamallo. One of the most beautiful and spectacular historic gardens in Madrid are the gardens of the Campo del Moro , located in the large gap that from the western facade of the Royal Palace down the river Manzanares .

Although the origins could be traced to the seventeenth century , it was not until the nineteenth century when the gardens would be completed in several stages. In 1844 the architect Narciso Pascual y Colomer made ??a path based on the French garden , but that was changed by one of romantic inspiration because Ramon Oliva.
